Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disorder of salt channels. Although, it is often diagnosed on newborn screening it has life long and multi-organ implications for a patient. It is important to understand both the possible acute presentations as well long-term health challenges faced by patients with CF. The development of immunomodulator therapy will likely improve the poor prognosis of CF.
