Lung cancer is a significant cause of mortality and morbidity in the community. Adenocarcinoma is now the most common cancer, found in younger non-smoking populations, whilst squamous cancers are the most common in smokers. It is also important to understand notable paraneoplastic syndromes. We conclude by explaining diagnostic and management principles.
