Postural hypotension, or a big drop in posture when standing up, can cause dizziness and may present a falls risk. Most often there is no definitive cause found but it is important to assess for neurological and cardiovascular causes, as well as overview their medication list and if appropriate encourage oral hydration. We provide a framework to assess this very common presentation.
